Things I love…

March 18, 2011

If you know anything about me, you know that another passion of mine is interior design. I love design so much that every room in my house has changed at least 4 times in the last 5 years. Whether in color, or furniture or layout or flooring, every room has changed, and honestly, I think it will continue to change. Being a designer will do that to you! Just when you think a room is done, you find an amazing inspiration piece to add to it, that changes the whole look of the room! So, today I am mixing my love of shoes and design and sharing some closets that I am absolutely in love with, with you! Enjoy!

First up, my good friend Mindy Weiss’ closet! Oh, how gorgeous are the tufted ceilings and soft pinks? Gorgeous! This picture really doesn’t do it justice. When you see it in person, you get the heavens opening up sound in your ears {ahhhhhhhh} . When you step in, you leave the rest of the house behind. GORGEOUS! Mindy’s closet was also featured in O at Home. You can see the rest of the house here, and read about Mindy’s obsession with collecting things!

Next up, this beautiful closet belongs to blogger & shop owner Jen Ramos of Made By Girl. Love her leopard print rug along with the leopard print shoes & bags as accents. Clever! Also love that Jen didn’t hire some fancy schmancy professional – she did it all herself (along with her hubby of course).  Check out Jen’s website & blog Made by Girl for some seriously fab finds! You can see the whole transformation here, this is a before & after…

Another closet I admire, is the work of Lynn Nigro featured in Lonny Mag. I am a sucker for shoes displayed gorgeously and this, my friends, is gorgeous!

This beauty comes from blogger Megan of Honey We’re Home. Megan shared all about her “Mom Cave” with her readers back in October, and says it was one of her more popular posts. I can see why… This post came complete with floor plans! You can read all about it here!

My last closet shot is a picture I found on Decor Pad. Though there aren’t tons of shoes gorgeously displayed,  I do love the mirrored doors, and how everything is color coordinated, darker colors on the left and brighter colors on the right…

Has this inspired you to get to work on your own closet organization? Send me some pictures, I would LOVE to see what you did!

Till next time!
